Real Ore. Real Structures. Available Today.
The most ambitious continent mod ever created.
SRTG uses a combination of noise and erosion simulations across multiple passes to generate unique continents that mirror real life. Rivers, streams, and lakes are generated by a hydrology simulation connecting and flowing as they would in real life. The grassy surface is smoothed by connected 1/8 layer high blocks to create the beautiful rolling hills.

Each continent type has caves, just like vanilla. Ores are generated at the same rate as vanilla. Get ready for survival mode like you've never seen it before.
Each continent adds a custom cave type, from ice caves in the Arctic to lava tubes underneath volcanic islands.

Choose the world type when you create a world, then press Customize.

SRTG ships with Sprez's Far View, which draws the land past your render distance all the way to the horizon, so the next continent shows across the sea long before you reach it.
See Far ViewShort answer: Because I thought it would be cool.
I'm fascinated by terrain generation. I learned about procedural generation techniques and how erosion simulations can create stunning landscapes. I've played Minecraft for over 15 years, but I never saw a terrain mod that made me say, 'this is it' – so I brought it to life. I hope you enjoy playing it as much as I did making it.
